Performances &
Services

Beyond performing fire and light shows, we also handle staging for large-scale events and concerts, film and photo shoots, coaching for performers, and equipment supply. You can choose how KAGUZUCHI gets involved to suit your goals.

KAGUZUCHI Shows

We perform our stage shows at events, ceremonies, and festivals. Programs range from a compact show condensed into a single 3–5 minute song to a 10–30 minute stage combining several acts, tailored to your wishes.

  • Most shows feature a team of 3–6 performers. We are also happy to discuss solo performances. For large-scale productions, we can take on up to about 100 performers.
  • Venues range from hotel ballrooms to domes, stadiums, racing circuits, and coastlines. When real fire is used indoors, we prepare the full set of documents needed for the application to the local fire department.
  • We also accept bookings for recurring shows at facilities.

Three Styles

Fire and Light: Three Styles of Dance

A performer standing inside a ring of fire

火炎舞FIRE SHOW

Lines of light traced by real fire, heat you can feel on your cheeks, the sound of flames cutting through the air. Engaging all five senses, this dance is at the heart of KAGUZUCHI.

A stage where LED props draw patterns of light

雷光舞LIGHT SHOW

With LED and other light props, we create colors and light effects that fire cannot produce. It can be performed indoors or outdoors, including at venues where fire cannot be used.

雷光炎舞HYBRID SHOW

A stage that combines fire and light with lasers, lighting, and special effects. With our performers’ skills and ensemble choreography, we bring the entire space to life, from ballrooms to stadiums.

Stage Size

Team Size and Stage Dimensions

These are guidelines based on our past performances (figures are width × depth). Even at venues with a smaller stage, we adapt the program to the conditions. Please feel free to contact us.

TeamPerformersStage sizeNotes
Small3Approx. 8 m W × 3.6 m DMany past shows on hotel ballroom stages
Medium4–5Approx. 10 m W × 5 m DAlso possible on a stage 3.6 m deep
Large6–8Approx. 15 m W × 6 m DRecommended: 8 m depth and a ceiling height of 4 m or more
  • For all team sizes, we recommend a ceiling height of 3.5 m or more (high enough that props do not hit the ceiling). For fire effects, the higher the ceiling, the larger the flames we can use.
  • Please let us know in advance whether there is a roof, what the floor is made of, and whether floor protection is in place. We will propose the best acts for your conditions.
  • Performances face the front, and the areas on both sides of the stage serve as safety zones with no audience. For fire acts, we keep a safety distance of 6 m from the flames to the audience.

02 | Stage Direction

Stage Direction

We join your production as part of the staging, serving as the fire and light team for large-scale events, artists’ concerts, and sports ceremonies. Beyond performing, we work with the special effects, stage production, and stage management departments to build a stage that can be run safely.

  • We handle everything from designing the fire effects to planning rehearsals and running the live show.
  • With lighting synced to the show (wireless units, from 1 to about 100, which can also be placed in the audience area), we can bring the entire venue into the show, not just the stage.
  • We can also perform alongside other effects such as fireworks, drones, and lasers.

03 | Film & Photo

Film & Photo

We bring fire and light to music videos, commercials, TV programs, and promotional videos. We can also advise on how to run the shoot on set, so that setup and ignition can be repeated to match your shooting schedule.

  • KAGUZUCHI performers appear on camera.
  • We handle the fire effects and safety management on set.
  • We have experience with super slow-motion and 8K shoots. We also welcome inquiries about providing footage we have already shot and about secondary use.

Photo Shoots (Light-Trail Photography)

A photo shoot in which fire and light special effects, a model, and a photographer come together to create a single image. Trails of fire, sparks, and LED light are drawn in real life, not added through image editing. Well suited to weddings, anniversaries, documenting ceremonies, creative shoots, and more.

  • Available for both individual and corporate shoots. In addition to the special effects team, we can arrange a photographer and, in some cases, a location for the shoot.
  • We draw on our experience of performing shows safely on outdoor and indoor stages. On request, we can also arrange liability insurance (bodily injury coverage up to JPY 1 billion).

04 | Coaching & Supervision

Coaching & Supervision

We coach celebrity talent and other performers so they can perform safely with fire. We also support other production teams’ fire effects from a technical and safety standpoint.

  • Basic handling can be learned in 2–3 hours for simple props, and in about 10 hours even for somewhat more difficult ones (advanced techniques take from a few days to 1 week).
  • With fire in mind, we check everything from costume and makeup materials to movement paths, how rehearsals are run, and fire-extinguishing arrangements.

05 | Special Equipment

Equipment

We supply the special equipment used for fire and light effects. Even at venues without a lighting crew, we can handle the show’s lighting with only the equipment we bring (on-stage setup takes as little as 5 minutes).

  • Wireless lighting synced to the show, effects sets such as black lights and haze machines, and projectors.
  • Visual poi (props that use LED afterimages to draw company logos, event names, photos, and messages in the air; advance booking and a separate programming fee are required).
  • Heat- and fire-resistant sheets to protect the stage, sound equipment, tents, and more.
  • We also rent out equipment on its own, without a show or performers.
